A new approach
Horses that underperform are traditionally often given a course of iron and B vitamins. Peak Performance goes further by focusing on circulation and the lymphatic system: two closely linked systems, where the blood supplies oxygen and the lymphatic system removes waste and supports resistance.
Stimulating circulation
Blackcurrant extract (Ribes nigrum) and amaranth essential oil stimulate circulation. Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) opens the airways so that as much oxygen as possible is pumped around. Acidification sets in later, making your horse more responsive and giving it more stamina.
A boost for the lymphatic system
The lymphatic system plays a crucial role in recovery, cell renewal and waste removal. While the heart drives blood circulation, lymph fluid is moved by muscle movement and the hoof mechanism. Frequently swollen legs the day after exercise can indicate sluggish lymph flow, as can slower recovery or reduced resistance.
Cleavers (Galium aparine) is known for its positive effect on the lymphatic system. Together with couch grass, nettle and dandelion, it provides a cleansing effect. By opening the pores, Peak Performance also helps horses sweat more easily, worth trying for horses that don't sweat easily.
