Collagen provides strength and elasticity to various types of connective tissue (such as cartilage, bones, tendons and ligaments). There are more than 14 types of collagen. Type I collagen is especially important for soft tissue (tendons, ligaments, joint capsules, etc.) while type II collagen is an important building block for cartilage.
Besides the well-known hydrolysed type II collagen, Cavalor Arti Repair also contains the innovative native collagen type I (eggshell membrane (ESM)) and type II (UC-II®). This results in a stimulation of the natural healing mechanism of joint cartilage.
