Different forms of collagen

Collagen gives strength and elasticity to connective tissue such as cartilage, bone, tendons and ligaments. There are more than 14 types. Type I is especially important for soft tissue (tendons, ligaments, joint capsule), while type II is a key building block of cartilage.

Besides the well-known hydrolysed type II collagen, Arti Repair also contains native collagen type I (from eggshell membrane, ESM) and type II (UC-II®). Native collagen keeps its spatial structure, reaches the intestinal wall undigested and triggers an immune response there that stimulates the natural repair of joint cartilage. ESM also contains hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine.

Vitamins and minerals

• MSM (methylsulfonylmethane): a highly absorbable, organic source of sulphur, important for muscles, joints, cartilage, bones and blood
