Synovium® Sand-Oil 369

Synovium Sand-Oil 369 is a unique, scientifically substantiated formula with various feed additives, also available from many equine vets. The main ingredient is psyllium, made from the seeds of the Plantago plant: a fibre that can improve gut function.

How it works

Psyllium attracts a lot of moisture and forms a gel-like substance that carries sand and other debris out of the body. Sand-Oil 369 has a swelling volume of 50 ml/g, well above the average of 40 ml/g. Research shows that psyllium combined with omega oils removes 25% more sand from the gut than psyllium alone (Journal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, February 2008). The omega-3, -6 and -9 oils also contribute to better coat and horn quality.

The 1.5 kg tub contains 2 courses, the 4.5 kg tub no fewer than 7.

Dosage

• Horse and pony: for sand in the gut, add 150 g to the feed daily for a 21-day course. Or every month 50 g twice a day for 7 days.
• Foal: for sand in the gut, add 50 g to the feed daily for a 21-day course. Or every month 25 g twice a day for 7 days.

A 60 ml scoop holds 50 g.

• Feed materials: psyllium husks 400 g/kg, extruded full-fat soya 300 g/kg
• Zootechnical additives: beta-glucan 400 mg
• Technological additives: kaolin (E559) 270 mg, lignosulphonate (E565) 25 mg, benzoic acid (E210) 5 mg

• The ingredients are not on the FEI doping list. Observe your federation’s rules during competitions.
• Store below 25 °C, do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
