Pavo GutHealth contains apple pulp and beet pulp, among other ingredients. They bind water and protect the stomach wall: both are rich in pectin, which forms a protective gel layer on the stomach wall. Barley grass is packed with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and has a positive effect on gut immunity. Nettle is known for its blood-purifying effect and, according to recent research, also has anti-inflammatory properties.

Pre- and probiotics for healthy gut flora

Oregano oil has been added for its antibacterial effect – and it also makes the nuggets smell deliciously of Italian cooking. To give gut health extra support, Pavo GutHealth also contains a premix including Diamond V and inulin. These are prebiotics that help maintain the balance between good and bad gut bacteria. Inulin can only be broken down by certain gut bacteria and not by the horse itself, so all the nutrients benefit those bacteria. Pavo GutHealth also contains the probiotic Saccharomyces cerevisiae: live yeasts that reach the gut.
