Pavo SOS Kit for newborn foals

The Pavo SOS Kit is an emergency kit for newborn foals when there are problems with the mare's milk supply. It provides the foal with antibodies and the nutrition it needs.

Contents

• Colostrum, 2 sachets of 150 g: provides the newborn foal with antibodies, essential for resistance in the first 48 hours
• Foal milk, 1 bag of 1,500 g: matched to the specific composition of mare's milk
• Bottle with teat
• Detailed instructions

How to use

• Use the SOS Kit right after birth if the mare produces too little milk: preferably within 3 hours and at the latest within 12 hours after birth
• To be safe, have your vet give your foal a general check-up within 24 hours
• Preferably warm the milk in a bain-marie, in a bowl of at least 1 litre in or above a pan of hot water. This prevents curdling and burning
• Never heat the colostrum in the microwave: high temperatures can destroy the protective antibodies. The foal milk can be heated in the microwave
